DISCUSSION
To outlay what Johnny can do for you, as you may just wish for him to look over an advertisement and/or investigate the car with various checks, this is £60.00 (fifty pounds plus VAT).
-
VIEWING
To view the car on your behalf or with you, it is £300.00 (two hundred and fifty pounds plus VAT). With a service of this nature, there is a chunk of administration and footwork involved in the correct formality, so before Johnny starts work, he kindly requests a prepayment of £180.00 (one hundred and fifty pounds plus VAT) to cover those procedures.
-
TRAVELLING OPTION 1
To cover the time and expenses wherever the car may be, it is 60 pence (fifty pence plus VAT) per mile. An example: if the car is 100 miles away, resulting in a 200-mile round trip, it would be £120.00 (one hundred pounds plus VAT).
-
TRAVELLING OPTION 2
Having the car collected and/or delivered to you on a trailer by Johnny himself. To cover the time, usage of the towing vehicle and trailer, and expense wherever the car is required to be delivered, it is the total distance in miles plus VAT. For example, if the round trip is 200 miles for Johnny, it would be £240.00 (two hundred pounds plus VAT).
-
MISCELLANEOUS
For other minor miscellaneous costs, if need be, this is something that Johnny will discuss at the time. Examples include, but are not limited to, further in-depth investigations into the vehicle's identification, finance, mileage, ownership, origin, use, toll road charges, requested preparation, and many other factors that may come into play.
-
PAYMENT
As mentioned above, with a service of this nature, there is a chunk of administration and footwork involved in the correct formality, so before Johnny starts work, he kindly requests a prepayment of £180.00 (one hundred and fifty pounds plus VAT) to cover those procedures. All payments are to be made via above-board bank-to-bank transfer; we do not accept nor have card payment facilities, so the only means of payment is BACS (Bankers' Automated Clearing Services).
SELLING YOUR CAR
-
THE WISHING TO 'SELL YOUR CAR TO US' OPTION...
If Johnny feels it is a car that he would like to buy, he will arrange a mutually agreeable appointment in which to come and take a closer look, during which he will kindly request that you have all the paperwork at hand. Johnny will thoroughly inspect the vehicle and will take into consideration any work that may be required to have the car to his level of standards and/or ready to place on the market. Johnny will provide, if needed, a full written offer by email, and once you have agreed on a price, he will then fully pay for the vehicle and arrange to collect it at a time convenient to you.
-
OR, WISHING FOR US TO 'SELL YOUR CAR FOR YOU' OPTION...
With a service of this nature, there is a chunk of administration and footwork involved in having the vehicle offered on the market in the correct formality, so before Johnny starts work, he kindly requests a prepayment of £180.00 (one hundred and fifty pounds plus VAT) to cover those procedures. On completion, the fee will be a straight 6% (five percent plus VAT) of the agreed price, minus the initial £180.00 (one hundred and fifty pounds plus VAT) up front payment and any other additional costs that were perchance formerly discussed.

That particular car is long gone—2014, to be precise.

WHY ARE WE NOT ON COMPANIES HOUSE?
This is not a limited company. It is run by an individual, a sole trader, who is a self-employed person who owns their entire business and runs it as a sole proprietor. Sole traders are the most popular form of business due to their simplicity, flexibility, and minimal legal requirements. As a sole trader, individuals have complete control over their business decisions, retain all profits, and have simplified tax obligations. In other words, there is no legal distinction between them and their business, which is why it is often said that sole traders are their business.
